I noticed it’s been just over a year since I posted my first comic here on tumblr, so I thought I’d draw a little comic to commemorate that fact
And I want to thank everyone who has supported me in this past year. It’s sort of silly, but my blog and my comics really mean a lot to me. They’ve been my primary creative outlet in a time when I really needed one and have brought me so, so much joy. Running this blog, I’ve made a lot of wonderful friends and I’ve been able to make a few people smile and that’s more than I ever could have hoped for.
I really like making these comics, as bad as they are, and I want to get even better! My comics are going to change little by little from now on as I branch out and experiment with different styles. I’m planning on even going back and re-writing some of them. But no matter how much I grow and change as an artist I’ll always remember where I began!
More than anything I really want to express my gratitude to my followers and friends! I’m so thankful to have the audience that I have (22,000 followers as of last night!! crazy) and that you enjoy what I make, if only a little bit. Whether you’re laughing at me or with me, whether my comics have you rolling on the floor or just smirking a little in a kind of pretentious way because I’m not that funny but oh boy look at me try, that’s enough for me. That’s all I can hope to achieve.
